Chilled Crab Dip

 

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 packages or 8 ounces of softened cream cheese 
  • 1 pound of cooked crabmeat 
  • 1/2 cup of creamy salad dressing such as Miracle Whip 
  • 1 jar or 12 ounce of cocktail sauce 

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Cook the crabs in boiling water.  
  2. Add salt, pepper, and seasoning to taste.  
  3. Let the crabs cool for around 10 to 15 minutes.  
  4. Remove the legs and break the shell to remove the meat.  
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine together cream cheese, crabmeat and the creamy salad dressing. Mix until the crabmeat has been evenly coated and spread.  
  6. Let it chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving.   
  7. When served, pour the cocktail sauce on top before serving. 

This is the perfect recipe for a delicious and easy to make dip. You can serve this dip with your own choice of crackers or bread. This is a creamy dip that is sure to satisfy you and your guests. You just have to make sure your crabmeat has no shells. This recipe will be able to serve around 32 guests.
