Ingredients:
- 1 pound of fresh crab
meat
- 1
egg
- 2 tablespoons of
mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground
mustard
- 1 dash of Worcestershire
sauce
- salt and pepper to
taste
- 4 ounces of buttery round and
crushed crackers
- 2 cups of oil for frying or
just as needed
Preparation:
- Gather the crab meat, egg,
mayonnaise, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. And then
in a mixing bowl that is large enough, combine all these ingredients until crab meat is
evenly coated.
- Heat 1/4 inch of vegetable oil
to a high heat in a large skillet.
- Next, combine large spoonfuls
on the crab mixture and the crushed crackers. Form them into
balls.
- Place the balls onto the heated
vegetable oil.
- Slowly and carefully flatten
the balls using a spatula. That now becomes the crab cakes. It should be around a half
inch thick.
- Continue to fry them until both
sides are evenly browned.
This recipe is ideal for dinner
parties. It’s easy to make and very tasty.
