Scrumptious Crab Soup

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1/2 cup butter 
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning 
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth 
  • 1 cup dry white wine 
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream 
  • 1 (2.5 ounce) package country style gravy mix 
  • 8 ounces crab meat 
  • 4 drops hot sauce 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Using low heat, melt the half cup of butter in a saucepan.   
  2. Add the flour all together and then stir immediately. Cook until the mixture becomes bubbly.   
  3. Add and stir Old Bay seasoning and Worcestershire sauce.   
  4. Slowly add and stir the chicken broth, wine, and half-and-half. Don’t pour everything altogether.  
  5. As for the gravy, just follow the package directions. And then add into the soup. Add more half-and-half only if necessary. Let it simmer for 10 minutes and stir from time to time.  
  6. Add the crab meat and stir. Add seasoning with hot sauce, salt, and pepper and let it simmer for 2 more minutes.  

 

This recipe is perfect for soup lovers. It is creamy and tasty.
